Short answer
Save your pickup confirmation and dispatcher number before flying. SDQ has airport Wi-Fi, and AERODOM has announced a SimLimites eSIM offer, but device compatibility and current offer terms still need checking. Your pickup plan should remain usable if neither connection works when you arrive.
Set up the phone before departure
Check whether your phone supports eSIM and whether it is unlocked for another network. Read the plan's coverage, activation trigger, data allowance and expiry rather than assuming every travel eSIM includes calls or SMS. A data-only plan can support messaging apps while providing no local voice number.
Install or save the provider instructions while you still have a dependable connection. Keep your usual messaging account reachable and tell dispatch which number you will use. If changing SIM settings, check which line handles mobile data so you do not unintentionally use expensive roaming.
Use airport connectivity without depending on it
Follow the airport's posted Wi-Fi instructions and ask airport staff if the network name is unclear. Coverage and login behaviour can vary by location. Avoid entering sensitive account details into an unfamiliar page merely because its name looks airport-related.
AERODOM's August 2026 announcement describes 24 hours of internet through SimLimites eSIM for arriving international passengers. Check the actual activation instructions, eligibility and device support on arrival; an announcement is not a guarantee that your particular phone will connect immediately.
Keep the pickup usable offline
Take a screenshot of the meeting instructions, booking reference, driver or dispatch contact and destination address. Keep a charged battery and make sure a companion also has the details when travelling together. A saved map or address is useful if a messaging app will not load.
If you lose contact, remain at the confirmed public meeting point rather than walking between exits searching for signal. Ask an airport information desk for help contacting your booked operator. When connected, send a short message with your visible location and baggage status.
