Verify your SDQ driver and avoid pickup misunderstandings
A name sign is a meeting aid. Confirm the booking, driver and vehicle through the contact you already have.

Short answer
Before following someone to a vehicle at SDQ, confirm the driver through your saved booking contact and check the agreed destination and fare. A person approaching you is not by itself evidence of a scam, and a printed name sign is not proof of identity. If details differ, pause the pickup and contact dispatch.
Save the confirmation before flying
Keep a screenshot of the booking contact, agreed price, flight number and destination. Save the hotel or apartment location too. A tired passenger with a flat phone is in a weaker position to compare instructions; prepare a way to contact dispatch if mobile data does not work.
Ask how driver details will be provided and follow that process. Do not publish your booking confirmation, passport or flight itinerary on social media to find a missing driver. Share only what the verified booking contact needs to identify the trip.
Match the person to the booking
Our booked meeting uses a name sign in public arrivals after customs, with the specific instructions in your confirmation. Check the driver's identity using the saved dispatch conversation. If someone says they are a replacement, ask dispatch to confirm that change before handing over bags or leaving the meeting area.
Airport arrangements can change. A different meeting point is something to verify, not a reason to assume every unfamiliar person is dishonest. Stay in a staffed public area while resolving a mismatch, and follow airport staff instructions about where passengers may wait.
Check the journey before departure
Confirm the accommodation, passenger count, luggage and any requested seats. For a pre-booked trip, compare the fare and payment method with the written confirmation. Resolve unexplained changes with dispatch before the vehicle departs.
If you choose an airport taxi instead, ask for the total fare to the exact destination, currency, toll treatment and payment method before loading bags. For an app booking, check the driver and vehicle details against the app. These are different booking processes; our name-sign instructions do not describe every legitimate service at SDQ.
If you cannot resolve a mismatch
Do not let a deadline pressure you into an unconfirmed vehicle. Contact your original operator directly and ask airport staff for assistance if needed. If you decide to use another service, tell the original dispatch so it can stop searching for you and explain any applicable cancellation terms.
Keep receipts and the booking conversation if you need to report a dispute. Describe what happened factually: the quoted fare, the requested change, the time and the contact used. This is more useful than assuming a person's role from clothing or a vehicle's appearance.
