Short answer
A shared service can suit a flexible traveller if it serves the exact hotel and flight time. A private transfer reserves the vehicle for your party. Our published VIP fare to Zona Colonial is $79 one-way per vehicle, subject to the booked capacity; compare it with a current shared quote for every passenger and bag. We sell private transfers only.
Establish whether the service fits
Ask the shared operator whether pickup is available for your particular arrival and destination. Check the first and last departure, where you meet, whether a minimum passenger count applies and what happens if the flight is late. A listing for Santo Domingo does not establish service to every hotel or apartment.
Find out whether the vehicle leaves on a timetable or after other booked passengers arrive. Ask about intermediate hotel stops and the final drop-off point. These details matter more than a generic advertised travel time when you have children, an appointment or a late check-in.
Compare like-for-like totals
Multiply the shared seat price by the number of chargeable passengers, then include any luggage or final-connection costs. Ask how children are counted and whether a child seat can be provided. Compare that complete amount with a written private quote for the same destination and party.
A private quote is not automatically cheaper for every traveller. A solo passenger may value a lower shared fare; a larger party may find per-vehicle pricing attractive. Use actual quotes rather than an invented average shared price. Check cancellation and payment terms separately from the fare.
Choose around your constraints
For a villa with a gate code or an apartment with an unmarked entrance, establish who handles the final approach. For a party carrying sports equipment, obtain acceptance of the dimensions before paying. For reduced mobility, confirm the boarding arrangement rather than relying on the word 'shuttle' or 'private'.
Our service reserves a vehicle for one party and confirms the pickup and destination in writing. Send flight, address, passenger and bag details to receive an appropriate vehicle plan. A return ride needs its own pickup time and airline deadline even when both directions are booked together.
