Does Your Included Resort Transfer Cover SDQ or PUJ?

A Punta Cana hotel address does not mean your flight lands at PUJ. Read the three-letter code on the actual arriving flight, including the local date. SDQ and PUJ are different airports; a vehicle waiting at one cannot collect you at the other. If the voucher says only “airport transfer”, ask the transport provider which airport it means and obtain corrected instructions before travel.

Use your reservation confirmation and current benefit conditions rather than a promotional headline. Some resort benefits specifically name Punta Cana International Airport and distinguish direct suite-only reservations from other booking channels or flight-and-hotel packages. That does not establish a rule for every resort. Ask your hotel, travel seller or assigned transport provider whether your particular reservation qualifies and whether an SDQ pickup is accepted.

List two journeys: actual arrival airport to hotel, then hotel to actual departure airport. An SDQ arrival with a PUJ departure may need a separately quoted arrival while the included return remains useful. Ask the existing provider to confirm each leg individually. Do not assume a round-trip benefit can switch airports, cover an inter-airport journey or transfer to another operator. Compare complete written plans before adding an SDQ–PUJ drive just to use a PUJ pickup.

Tell the assigned provider who is travelling, whether everyone uses the same flights, the luggage and any child-seat or assistance needs. Ask whether all guests on the reservation are covered and whether separate flight times change the arrangement. Complete any required flight-registration process by the deadline stated in your own voucher. A hotel confirmation alone does not establish that a driver has received your flight details.

If the included service does not fit, ask whether it can be amended and what that costs before ordering another ride. Obtain written confirmation of any cancellation, especially when retaining the return leg. Do not assume that cancelling arrival preserves departure, that an unused benefit earns a refund or credit, or that another provider can claim it. Keep both providers informed so a driver is not dispatched for a journey you no longer intend to use.

For a separate SDQ VIP journey, send the actual airport and flight, local date, complete hotel name and entrance, passengers, bags and requested seats. Ask dispatch to confirm vehicle capacity, availability, the itinerary and total. Use the relevant destination page for published VIP fares; a hotel benefit does not reduce a separate quote automatically. Keep the original return confirmation if still using it. Sending SDQ VIP a request alone does not reserve a vehicle.
